1. Niqinik Nuatsivik Nunavut Food Bank
The Niqinik Nuatsivik Nunavut Food Bank is a charitable organization that provides food to people in need. The Niqinik Nuatsivik Nunavut Food Bank is located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. This charity was founded in 2001 to help reduce hunger in Iqaluit and Nunavut. The goal of the organization is to provide nutritious food to families and individuals who are struggling financially.
About 49 residents currently serve as NNNFB volunteers, who oversee the organization’s management and daily operations. All of NNNFB’s operating costs are covered via generous donations from businesses, organizations, and people; the federal government also provides some financing.
